Judith Ann Cook Gidcumb

Judith Ann Cook Gidcumb passed on May 16, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born in Pontotoc, MS on February 16, 1943, to the late Reverend John Wright and Ann Graham Cook.

She enjoyed traveling, camping with her husband, Dewey, teaching, loving people, working in children's ministries for 50 plus years. Judith Ann loved teaching at North Lake Christian School and then was honored to serve as the first elementary principal until her retirement. She and Dewey then enjoyed working with Legal Shield as their Regional Vice Presidents. Most of all, Judith Ann loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Judith Ann was preceded in death by, her brother, John Wright Cook, III.

Judith Ann is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Dewey Gidcumb, Sr.; sons, Dewey Gidcumb, Jr.(Renee) and David Gidcumb (Leslie); daughters, Sharon Brumfield (Keith) and Jeannie Simmons (Jay); and 12 beloved grandkids and 5 beloved great-grandkids.

To honor Judith Ann's wishes, no services are planned at this time. An intimate family gathering will be held at a later date.

Judith Ann was loved by her family more than words can say.
