Justine Buchanan Deaver

Waynesville, NC - Justine Buchanan Deaver, age 85 went to be with The Lord on April 24, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Justine was born on July 9, 1935 in Haywood County to the late Charlie M. and Nettie Estes Buchanan. She worked for many years as a secretary and book keeper for State Farm and Farm Bureau Insurance companies and later retired from Terminix. She was a member of Allen's Creek Baptist Church and she crocheted over 300 caps for the Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved sewing, quilting, and crocheting.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Deaver; sisters, Florence McClure and Faye Ross; and brother, Lloyd Buchanan.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Frank (Kathy) Deaver and Gwen (Keith) Deaver Ledford; seven grandchildren, Charlie (Krissy) Deaver, Monica Noland, Brooke (Mike) Palmer, Lacey (Kyle) Kilby, Macey Deaver, Andy (Courtney) Ledford and Will Ledford; Great Grandchildren, Luke Noland, Allison Deaver, and Kennedy, Cambelle and Parker Ledford; Several nieces nephews, cousins and friends also survive her.

Funeral services for Justine will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Allen's Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday prior to the service from 1 to 3 PM at the church.

Burial will be at Buchanan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allen's Creek Baptist Church, Operation Christmas Child.
