Kathy Ellis

Kathy Ellis, age 74, of Sylva, North Carolina passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023. Kathy was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 21, 1949, to the late George and Madeline Clementz. Kathy was saved in February 2012 and attended Lifeway Church in Sylva. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, watching NASCAR races, playing Scrabble and going out to eat with the people she loved. Kathy loved life and had an infectious smile that lit up the room.

Left to cherish Kathy's memory are her daughters, Dawn Kirkland and her husband, Jody, and Sharon Moody and her husband, Mac; grandchildren, Destiny Schroeder and her husband, Dylan, Kody Kirkland, Gladys-Ann Moody and Charles Moody; great-granddaughter, Eliana Schroeder; brother, Ray Clementz and his wife Maria; along with many other in-laws, nieces, nephews and special friends.

Kathy was an organ and tissue donor and donated her body to forensic science for study.
