Catawba-Lucy M. Gaddis, 88, died on July 3, 2016. Lucy was born in Haywood County on November 19, 1927, to the late Robert and Sarah Lanning Mathis. In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Gaddis; a daughter, Donna Sawyer; and a son, Larry Gaddis. Lucy is survived by a son, Willard Lee Gaddis; a daughter, Linda Inman; a brother, Ralph Mathis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 7, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Lloyd Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
