Mary Sue "Susie" Crocker

Waynesville-Mary Sue “Susie” Crocker, 89, died on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Haywood Lodge. Susie was born in Johnson County, NC, on November 17, 1927, to the late Harry and Bessie Leatherwood Crocker. Susie loved to travel, play golf, and had a career in banking management. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jo Crocker, Braxton Buchanan, and Anna Jean Angel; and a brother, Harry Crocker. Susie is survived by her nephew, David Angel (Sue); niece, Jeree Current (David); great-nieces, Elizabeth Angel, Lian Angel, and Serena Current; and a great-nephew, Colby Current. There will be a joint funeral service, with her sister, Anna Jean Angel, who died on Friday, August 25, 2017. The service will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 28, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Becky Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 PM prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
