

Helen Daniels Friesch Devoted Mother and Grandmother Helen Daniels Friesch, 89, was called home by her Lord and Savior and heard those so deserving words, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant”. You have finished the race and are now sitting at the feet of Jesus. Born September 2, 1925, Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an awesome prayer warrior for her family. A retired RN from Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was well respected by her peers and a role model for new nurses. An avid gardener, she took pride in her rose garden and provided beautiful scenery for all who saw them. She made life fun by playing jokes and trying to startle people. She has always had a spark in her eyes and fire in her tongue. A true southern lady she never once abided foolishness. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and soulmate, Edward E. Friesch. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Friesch Dietiker of Waynesville, NC and Susan Friesch Lyons and husband Dennis of Hickory, NC; four grandchildren, Danielle Hanna, Nathan Dietiker, Matthew Lyons and Daniel Lyons; two great granddaughters, Autumn and Olivia Hanna; one great grandson Benjamin Hanna and a special friend, Laverne Phillips of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Garrett Funeral Home with Reverend Ted Reeves and Albert Allen officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 3 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park. www.garrettfuneralsandcremations.com
