
Waynesville-Paul Prince Coleman, of Waynesville, NC died on March 11, 2015. Paul was born on October 1, 1946, in Tifton, GA. He was the son of Paul and Pally Coleman. He was a graduate of Tifton High School and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Tifton. After his mother’s death, he and his father moved to Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park, FL where he resided until his father’s death. In 2005, he moved to North Carolina to become a part of the ARC of Haywood County. There his life blossomed. He worked at Haywood Vocational Opportunities, participated in numerous Special Olympics, and represented ARC in Washington, DC at a symposium on adults with special needs. He cherished his ARC family at Maple Street and Farley Street, enjoying their annual summer excursions to Dollywood and Myrtle Beach. He transferred his church membership to First Presbyterian Church in Waynesville and knew the embrace of God’s grace through so many of it’s members. Throughout his adult life, win or lose, he was a loyal member of the Bull Dawg Nation. His big true heart will be missed. Paul is survived by his brother, Hunter Coleman; his nephew and niece, Joe Coleman and Julia Walberg; his great-nephew and niece, Felix and Greta Walberg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 14, at First Presbyterian Church in Waynesville with Reverend John Lindsay officiating. A reception celebrating Paul’s life will follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be in Oakridge Cemetery, in Tifton, GA where Paul will rest beside his parents. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 13, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
