Raymond Jack Fisher

Raymond Jack Fisher, age 96 passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Jack was born in Jackson County, NC on June 18, 1928, to the late Carl and Eva Keener Fisher. He loved to fish, garden, and work with his livestock. Jack honorably served his country in the US Army and retired from Dayco with 31 1/2 years service. He also retired from the Haywood County Waste Management after 10 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bryson Fisher; infant daughter, Angela Kaye Fisher; siblings, Earl Fisher, Louise Henry and Patsy Mathis; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Fisher.

Jack is survived by his son Mike Fisher; daughter, Debbie Fisher; granddaughter, Kim Wise (Billy); 2 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and siblings, Betty Jo Katchsman, Kenneth Fisher, and Susie Bartley (Joe).

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Greg Cullen and the Reverend Lee Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
