Silas Ray Potter

Silas Ray Potter, age 10 days, of Clyde, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Silas was born on April 3, 2023, to Lorie Potter and Derek Welch at Levines Childrens Hospital in Charlotte.

During his short time here, Silas lived the perfect life filled with only love and joy. In those ten days he made a profound and memorable impact on the world. God has wrapped His loving arms around Silas and given him his wings. May he never be forgotten.

Silas was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Teddy Bruce Potter; paternal great-grandmother, Bennie Welch; and uncle, Arthur Beaulier.

In addition to his parents, Silas is survived by his brothers, Braylon Haney and Oliver Welch; maternal grandparents, Celia and Jimmy Norman; maternal great-grandmother, Vera Edmonsond; and paternal grandparents, Timothy and Jane Welch.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:11 am on Sunday, April 23, at The Outpost at Ferguson Farms, 1238 Max Patch Road, Clyde, NC 28721.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family at 1140 Allens Creek Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
