

M/Sgt Thomas Kaye (USAF Ret.) caught the final launch of aircraft to the other side on November 1, 2025. Hopefully he will meet many friends.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Nell Kaye; and daughter, Bianca Kaye Lucy.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Georgia Borchardt.
Thomas was born in Struthers, OH on December 13, 1932, to Elizabeth Kaye and Walter Kocinski. He lived in Struthers, OH, Millwood, Ligonier, Pittsburgh and Bessemer, PA and graduated in Campbell, OH in 1950.
Thomas joined the US Navy in 1950, and was stationed at Great Lakes, IL, Millington, TN, NAS Jacksonville, USNS Cecil Field, USNS Green Cove Springs at Lee Field, then aboard CVA 42 USS F.D. Roosevelt, traveling The Mediterranean. He then joined the US Air Force and served in French Morocco, Libya, Turkey, England, Europe and on Midway Island. Thomas served stateside at Pease AFB, Westover AFB, Mcguire AFB, McCoy AFB and MacDill AFB, with many TDYs abroad.
Upon retirement Thomas worked at J.P.A. for twenty plus years, intermittently, with periods for Fairchild Hillan (FT28s program), Grumman (A4PTM program) and at several shipyards. His final job was with OSHA as a Maritime Crane Inspector.
