Fred Carnighan

CARNIGHAN, Fred, 92, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Wed., June 22, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne M (nee Garner); loving father of Rosemarie Cereghino, Patricia (Walter) Kozemski, & Bette J. Mills; dear grandfather of Maria and Paul Cereghino, Jessica and Clinton Kozemski, and Beverly and Caroline Mills; dear brother of the late Lillian Corella, John Carnighan, Leonard Carnighan, Laura McLeod, & Gilbert Carnighan.

Born in Hayden, Arizona, Mr. Carnighan left his home and finished high school in Los Angeles. After serving in WW II in the Army Air Corps, he settled in St. Louis where he established his own business in Brentwood as a furniture reupholsterer in 1950. He retired in 2004.

SERVICES: Visitation 4-8pm Mon., June 27, 2011 GERBER CHAPEL 23 W. Lockwood Ave, Webster Groves (968-2000). Funeral 10am Tues., June 28, 2011 Laclede Groves Chapel 723 S. Laclede Groves Rd., Webster Groves. Interment with Military Honors in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In memory contribuions can be made to LSS Hospice Care 1150 Hanley Ind. Ct.
