

Howard H. McGee, Jr., 79, born January 17, 1936 in St Louis and a lifelong resident of Webster Groves died peacefully March 16, 2015 after a several year struggle with the vagaries of aging. Was proud to have been concertmaster for the Webster Groves High School orchestra as well as 2nd violinist 1st chair in the Maplewood Richmond Heights, Brentwood, and Towne & Country orchestras. Leigh Ferne Temme and he married on August 12, 1962 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in St Louis and they have two children, Laurel Leigh and Steven Michael. Howard was a graduate of Washington University Business School who worked for 34 years as an auditor with the U.S. General Accounting Office until his retirement in 1991 when he took time to more fully enjoy jigsaw, word and number puzzles. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard H. McGee, Sr and Edith McGee (née McFarland), brother-in-law Leslie Giles and sister Patricia M. Giles. He is survived by Leigh, Laurel, Steven, son-in-law Alan Burke and granddaughter, Saoirse Grace who will miss his generous heart, wit, wisdom and wry sense of humor.
