Robert Purcell

PURCELL, Robert “Bob” E. 86 of Kirkwood and formally of Webster Groves died peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2012; beloved husband for 60 years of Paula (nee Lamar) Purcell; loving father of Mary (Tom) Sullivan, Carole (Jay) Pershing and the late Audrey Allen; dear grandfather of Amelia (A J) Rogers, Ashley Allen, Shauna O’Brien, Kelly O’Brien, Timothy O’Brien, Kyle Pershing, Katy Pershing, and Molly Pershing; dear great-grandfather of Tristan Rogers, Alyra Rogers, and Aiden Walker; loving brother of Margie Lou (Gaither) Jones and Dorothy (Keith) Wright; dear uncle, cousin, and friend.

Robert was a Veteran of WWII and Korea. He was an engineer for Nooter Corporation for many years. Former member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He loved trout fishing, opera and his poker club.

SERVICES: A Memorial Visitation was held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at GERBER CHAPEL (968-2000). Private Interment will take place at Mt Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois at a later date.
