Betty Jane Richard

She lived in Welsh for the past 15 years. She loved to read, paint and collect old bottles and shells from the beach. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Hicks (Norman) of Roanoke; sisters, Beatrice Ardoin of Welsh; Audrey Arceneaux of Welsh; brother, Henry (Beth) Sonnier of Colorado Springs, CO: granddaughters, Kendra (Jeremy) Rich of Mandeville; Roseann Spears of Bell City; Nadeline Mackenzie Daigle of Iota; Madison Hicks of Lafayette and Bree-Ana Hicks of Welsh; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary at 6:30pm and resume Thursday from 9:00am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh.
