WELSH - A memorial service for Carl "Chief" Robinson Jr., 68, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Robinson passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Mr. Robinson, known as "Chief," was the owner of Chief's Sausage Kitchen in Evangeline for many years. He later retired on Toledo Bend Lake, where he was affectionately known as "Jr." Mr. Robinson loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Gray Robinson; his children, Karen Jackson, Steve Robinson and Kathy Ringuet; one son-in-law, David Ringuet; his grandchildren, Rachel (Derek) Kratzer, Jared (Jeanne) Jackson, Justin (Paige) Ringuet and Michael Ringuet; one great-grandchild, Lane Bruchhaus; one sister, Gaynel Robinson; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, "Doggie." He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sr. and Alma Robinson.
