Earlaine Lanthier Mallett of Roanoke, LA. passed away on October 19, 2023 at 4:15 a.m. Her final moments were peaceful and she was surrounded by her family. Earlaine loved a good laugh and was easily humored. She loved her family dearly and remembered special details about family members that others often overlooked. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing and had a heart for serving others, small children and animals.
Earlaine will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not for the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Mallett, Jr.; her daughter, Nina Derouen Delome (Gary) and her son, John C. Derouen. Earlaine also has two sisters, Dale Quibodeaux and Elrina Lenig. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Brandon Delome (Josephine), Kristy Matton (Ronnie), Stephanie Richard, and Bethany Delome and 13 great grandchildren.
Earline is preceded in death by her parents, Eldie Weekly Lanthier and Claude Lanthier.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh, LA. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. A private ceremony for immediate family will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, also in Welsh, LA. Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but are not necessary.
