Eula Mae Meche

She was born in Elton and lived in Welsh. She was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren in all of their sporting and school activities. She was also an excellent cook.

Survivors include her sons, William Meche of Welsh, Leland Meche and wife, Cathy of Welsh; daughter, Sylvia Meche of Welsh; sisters, Melva LeBleu and Dorothy Bell both of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Andree Conner, Ginny Meche, Stephen Meche; 2 great granddaughters, Allie and Kylie Conner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Meche; a son, Vernon Meche; brother, Henry Bell Jr. and parents, Henry Bell Sr. and Clara LeBlanc Bell.

Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Rev. Herbert May will officiate. Pallbearers will be Stephan Meche, Kyle Conner, Ryan Broussard, Jordan Guidry, Jeffrey Meche, and Michael Leger. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh, 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday 8 a.m. til time of service. Wake Service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
