Jacqueline Dell Moore

She was born in Harrisonburg, LA, and resided in Welsh. She was a member of Our Lady of Christian Help Catholic Church. She worked for United Way of Southwest, LA as an administrative assistant. She taught school in St. Landry Parish for 7 years and worked for Travelers Insurance Co. in Shreveport, LA. She was an avid reader and animal lover. She will be most remembered for her smile and outgoing personality.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Moore of Welsh; her mother-in-law, Mae Hollier Moore of Lafayette; brother-in-laws, Charlie Moore and wife, Wanda of Port Barre, LA and Thomas Moore and wife, Lilly of Davis, CA; sister-in-law, Lona Carroll and husband, Tom of Lafayette; aunt, Natalie Bethard of Shreveport, LA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh. Deacon Clayton Hollier will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday 9 a.m. til time of service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
