Though Lainey’s time on earth was short, she was very much loved throughout her time being carried by her mother. In the time knowing her, her every kick showed a vibrant personality, just like her big sister and brother. Knowing the day would come to tell Lainey goodbye, Allie spent every day she carried Lainey trying to make the best life for her. Lainey was with them for their annual beach trip, several birthday parties, combine rides, Collins’ first day of school, and several other joyous family occasions. They all loved feeling her sweet kicks, as they spent most of their time together as a family. Every movement she made was a reminder that she was there with them and full of life. Every prayer they’ve prayed, book they’ve read, song they’ve sang, and place they’ve been has been a part of her journey and what a blessing it was to have her for the time they did. She was indeed “their favorite hello and their hardest goodbye.”
Lainey was met at Heaven's Gates by her aunts, Alexis "Alex" Kathryn Heinen and Lanie Brooke Manuel, maternal great-grandfather, John Spears, maternal great-grandmother, Jean Manuel, paternal great-grandmother, Janice Klein, paternal great-grandfather, Rickey Clark, and our beloved friend, Wesley Ryan Hayes.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Allie and Cade Heinen; siblings, Collins and Briggs Heinen; maternal grandparents, Edith and Greg Manuel; paternal grandparents, Dana and Mark Heinen; aunt, Loren Mack (Stephen); uncles, Christian Manuel (Tori) and Will Heinen; first cousins, Emersyn and Keller; maternal great-grandmother, Virginia Spears; maternal great-grandfather, Clanny Manuel; and paternal great-grandparents, Jean and Bill Heinen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton with Rev. Jom Joseph, H.G.N. officiating (church will open at 9:45a.m.) Burial will follow in Fenton Cemetery in Fenton, LA under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh.
