Leighton Edward Faul, 30, of Welsh, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Leighton was born April 3, 1991 in Jennings, LA. He enjoyed playing his guitar, reading, and most of all spending time with his daughters. He loved people and never met a stranger. He would always lend a hand whenever needed. He was dedicated to family and friends, a leader in every way, strived to do his best, and had a true servant's heart, which led him to achieving his Eagle Scout Badge. This was one of Leighton's biggest and most proud accomplishments. Leighton had a huge, kind, and generous heart.
He is survived by his children, Della Sophia Lynn Faul and Leela Winter Faul; parents, David and Rollie Faul of Welsh; brother, Cord David Faul (Karley) of Jennings and their children, Josie Blake and Andie Kate Faul; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Mary Faul; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Leighton is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Mel and Della Person; and his favorite "Uncle", Dwain Gary.
A Mass of Christian Burial and a Celebration of Leighton's life will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 10:00am, with Father Michael Caraway and Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating. Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:00pm, led by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 8:00am until the procession to the church.
