Margo "Sholatta" Lyons

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 25 years; Steven Lyons, Welsh, Mother; Patty Ardoin, Welsh, Brothers; Jarrod Cormier, Thornwell, and Joshua Cormier, Welsh, Paternal Grandmother; Bernice Cormier, and Godmother; Dale Sonnier.

Sholatta was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; Gerald Cormier, her maternal grandparents; Sidney and Beatrice Ardoin and paternal grandfather; Buford Cormier.

She loved waking up with her special children having a hot cocoa of a morning, baking and cooking for them. Sholatta was never blessed with her own children but she gave that love to her nieces and nephews, being a mother to all.

Visitation will commence at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM. The visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 8:30 AM until Christian service time at 1:00 PM. Committal will follow at Bon Pasteur Cemetery.
