Michael Anthony Fontenot

Michael was born to parents Hubert and Estelle Fontenot on July 04, 1946, in Welsh, LA.

He was generally known to love the outdoors and liked to hunt and fish. Michael was also very active and enjoyed working out. He found value in his family and friendships and would fully and consistently pour himself into those relationships.

Michael is welcomed into heaven by his parents Hubert and Estelle Fontenot; brothers, Philip Fontenot Jr., and Steven Fontenot; and sister Mary Young.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sisters, Bernadine Martin, Catherine Carr, and Annmarie Fontenot; as well as 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who belong to his siblings that he had the privilege to love as his own. He also leaves behind many friends he considered a part of his family.

A memorial service will be held at Hixson Welsh on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, beginning with visitation starting at 8 am with a rosary to be recited at 9:30. Services will begin following the rosary at 10 am with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating.

There will be a private family burial held at a later date.
