Michael Lawrence Meyer

Michael was an amazing storyteller. He loved fishing and was an outlaw hunter! Michael worked as a welder under the Welder's Union during his welding career. He worked for companies W.R. Grace and Turner.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Mott Meyer, parents, Matthew and Catherine Meyer, and ten siblings: Charles, Ray, John Alan, Louis, Edwin, Johanna, Jane, Clyde, Matthew, and Tommy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kayla Meyer; brother, Steve Meyer(Sharon); sister-in-law, Charlotte Lyon; God-son, Buddy Cormier; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation was entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home. Interment will be Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh, LA.
