Rena Belle Monceaux

Rena Belle Monceaux, 97, passed away at her residence on Saturday, November 18, 2017 surrounded by her family. She enjoyed flowers and plants, entertaining, hearing people play and sing, loved her church family, and most of all loved her Lord and Savior. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and cooking Sunday lunches for her family and friends.

She is survived by her three sons, Oliver “Biff” Henning and wife Rebecca, Randel Henning and wife Jackie, Roger Brodrick and wife Vickie, all of Welsh; one daughter, Danny Faye Miers and husband Mike of Roanoke, LA; nine grandchilden; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews, and a special sister-in-law, Merle Taylor.

Rena is preceded in death by the father of her children, Oliver “Chick” Henning, and second husband, Louis D. Monceaux; parents, Smiley and Alta Taylor and stepfather, Lee Smith; one brother, Robert Taylor; and one sister, Wilda and her husband Jack Epperly.

Services will be held at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Welsh on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church of Welsh on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 4:00pm-9:00pm and will resume on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Welsh.
