Rolland John Chaisson

Rolland proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked for Jeff Davis Electric for many years. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and raising his cows. Rolland was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed greatly.

Rolland was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Paul Chaisson and Vernice Soileau Chaisson, and his sister, Betty Lou Chaisson Reed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother-in-law, John Shelly Reed of Oberlin; nephews, Bryan Reed and his wife, Trisha of Oberlin, Darrin Reed and his wife, Donna of Gillis, and Jared Reed of Welsh; niece, Phyllis Reed Crawford and her husband, Joe of Oakdale; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, November 27, 2025 at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. A Scripture Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Prabhakar Kowtiki officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh.
