After graduating from Welsh High School in 1960, Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He loved dancing, music, fishing and hunting. He volunteered to coach his son’s sports teams and brought his daughters to dance classes and horse shows. He worked as a telecommunications engineer for his whole career.
He is preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Beverly Broussard Trahan, his parents and his brother Rodney.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, his daughter Sherri, son Chris and his wife Misty, his grandson Connor, daughter Jacquelyn, step-daughters Terri and Lori Livingston, as well as his sister Phyllis and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. A rosary will be prayed beginning at 6:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church with Rev. Prabhakar Kowtiki officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
