She was of Baptist faith and a retired nurse. She loved animals, powder puff derby stock car driver and loved her family.
Survivors are her son, Kenneth Cantrell and Peggy, daughter-in-law, Maggie Husk, sister, Tinkey Curtis, Kay Chapman, Sherry Wheeler, brother, Rodney Wood, two special friends Betty Breaux, Tye Duhon, five grandchildren, three step grandchildren, six great grandchildren and eight step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Joe Reid and Ruby Wood, son, Robert Husk, brothers, Audley Wood, Conroy Reid, A.D. Reid.
Her services are Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Roanoke Mission Church. Rev. Darrell Hieronymus will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and resume Tuesday 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
