Daniel C Garza Jr.

Daniel C. Garza Jr., age 71, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. A proud 1973 graduate of Weslaco High School, Daniel was known for his many talents and his strong work ethic. A true jack of all trades, he worked throughout his life as a heavy equipment operator, construction worker, fast food manager, and mechanic. He also had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the keyboard, drums, and guitar, as well as singing secular and gospel songs. He had a strong faith in God and read his Bible regularly. Daniel approached life with dedication and a quiet strength that left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Daniel is survived by his loving children: Sandra Wolfe, Andrew Garza, Daniel Garza, Beatrice DeLeon, Raquel Yanez, Carolina DeLeon, Anastasio DeLeon, Juan Garza, Herminio DeLeon, Angie Mejia, and Samuel Garza. He is also survived by 26 cherished grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and his beloved siblings Elizabeth Teran, Maria Rito, Joel Garza, and Hortencia Sillence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Juanita Garza.

Daniel will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His loved ones take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and look forward to being reunited with them in heaven.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 6705 North FM 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A burial service will follow on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the same location.
