Jesus Balboa Jr.

Jesus is survived by his mother Esperanza Balboa, his siblings Roberto (Laura) Balboa, Sonia Balboa, Jessica Balboa and Esperanza (Deon) Casas and nephews Jesus Alejandro Salazar and Nicolas James Balboa.

Jesus is preceded in death by his father Jesus Balboa, his paternal grandfather Miguel Balboa, maternal grandfather Claro Olivarez, and maternal grandmother Consuelo Olivarez.

Jesus "Chuyito" as well all knew him was a family oriented person. Growing up he loved spending time with his father, brother as well as his uncles working in the fields. Chuy was a great son, brother, uncle and brother in law.Chuy had a heart for helping the elderly. If you had a problem, he would never hesitate to help. Chuy was always willing to lend a hand to whomever may need one.

Chuy enjoyed throwing around a football with his nephew Alex, but above all being outside helping his mom and sister in the garden. He enjoyed going to the beach and watching the Dallas Cowboys play football, even though he claimed to be an Eagles fan. Chuy loved to dance, and you would always find him listening to some Vicente Fernandez or Antonio Aguilar while barbecuing for the family.

Chuy had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed cracking jokes, and he would always say, "If no one is having fun, then I'm not having fun." He has a passion for scratch off tickets. Every time he would go to the store, he had ro purchase his scratch offs.

Chuy loved going to restaurants, and loved takeout. Every Saturday you would find him having breakfast at Janie's Cafe with the family. Chuy will be truly missed by all his family and friends.

A visitation for Jesus will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A rosary will occur Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St Joan Of Arc, Weslaco, TX. A burial will occur Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
