Jesus Vega, 99, of Mercedes, TX passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born November 17, 1918 in Relampago, TX, he was the son of the late Paulino and Dolores Vega. He was a long time resident of Mercedes, TX.
He is survived by his children, Rolando, Delia, Jesse Jr., Bertha, Dolores, Annie, Rudy and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anita G. Vega, his daughter, Viola and son, Roy.
Visitation services for Jesus will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 (Private for Family only )from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home , 6705 N FM 88 , Weslaco , Texas 78596. A public visitation will occur Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A public visitation will occur Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mercedes, Texas. Followed with the Burial at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 N FM 88, Weslaco , Texas 78596.
