

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Devoted Servant of God who prayed her rosary daily.
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the transition to new life of Maria Soledad Madrigal, who departed this life peacefully, surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Weslaco, Texas. Maria was born in Guanajuato, Mexico to Epifanio and Antonia Reyes on February 10th, 1937, and was one of 6 children. She lived a life full of grace, strength, and compassion.
Maria was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Alejandro Madrigal, of 61 years, a cherished son Epifanio (son), her parents, siblings Rodolfo Reyes, Maria de la Luz Reyes, Maria del Rosario Madrigal, Francisca Zarate, Vicente Reyes, nieces, and nephews. Despite the many losses she endured, she remained a pillar of strength and faith for her family.
A loving mother of five, Jesus (Dora), Irma (Paulino Perez), Alejandro (Anna Maria), Efrain (Maribel) and Ricardo (Ruby) she raised four sons and one daughter with unwavering dedication and warmth. She had 7 grandsons, 7 granddaughters and 3 great-granddaughters. She also help raised her nephew Froylan (Adela). Her love extended beyond her children to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored and cared for deeply.
Maria lived a life rooted in faith and community. She attended church every Sunday without fail, finding peace and purpose in her spiritual devotion.
She had a passion for cooking, filling her home with delicious meals and the inviting aroma of traditional Mexican dishes. Maria also loved crocheting, knitting, sewing, embroidery, gardening and treasured time spent in the company of her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with stories, laughter, and unconditional love. Her presence was a blessing, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
