She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos M. Rios, her parents, brother and sisters. Rosa is survived by her children: Ludivina (Artemio) Jalomo, Melecio (Noemi) Rios, Carlos (Laura) Rios Jr, Dr. Jose Luis (Leticia) Rios, Mario (Sylvia) Rios and Roberto (Ali) Rios.
Rosa was a very loving and caring individual that opened her home to anyone who was close to her children. She never met a stranger and would help anyone in need.
She was known to all as someone that went out of her way to make you feel welcomed. People will remember her for making a quick tasting meal in the spurt of the moment. Her other specialties was making tamales and bunuelos on every holiday.
In her spare time she tried to stay up with current events by reading the newspaper and listening to the news, despite not having a formal education, she self taught herself. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making quilts for her grandchildren.
She had 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Rosa was known to always support and attend her son's and grandkids sporting events.
Rosa was a great advocate for education, and instilled the importance of it to her children, and was very proud of it as they all became successful.
Mom left us with beautiful memories. Her love is still our guide. A mother's love is always and forever. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives were touched.
