“As constant as the Golden first light over the Gulf waters; As constant as the warmth of a Rio Grande Valley breeze; As constant as the stars in our grand Texas sky, your memory is everlasting within your loving family, friends, and all whom You loved”
Ruben Valdez III entered into Eternal Rest with Our Lord & Savior on the 9th of January, 2023.
On the 13th of September, 1995, Ruben was born to joyful parents, Ruben Valdez II and Norma Alicia Valdez. His ever-present smile brought much joy to their lives and all those around him. In a few years, it was He that was to become the big brother. In the short years to come, he was blessed with four young sisters, Rosa, Rhonda, Angelica, and Norma.
Ruben’s zest for life and all of its adventures was incomparable. You could always find him on the golf course, out on the salt water, or cooking with friends. Always one to offer his assistance, share a story, and make new friends.
Ruben, Thank You for giving us your love. We felt it each and every time. We felt it with each one of your beautiful smiles you shared with us, with every embrace where you squeezed us tight, and with every memory and dream you shared with us. The memory of the laughter you made rise inside of each one of us quite often with your rambunctious character, will be with us always.
Ruben, you precede us in death, May the Angel’s trumpets guide your path to the Kingdom of Heaven.
We give many thanks to Our Lord God Almighty for allowing you in our lives. To witness your bright light, your warmth, and your serenity. Your impression on our hearts is everlasting.
Ruben is survived by His loving family, his godparents Jesus De Leon & Maricela De Leon, his big brothers Jesse De Leon Jr., Jason Nicholas Hernandez De Leon, and Frank De Leon.
A visitation for Ruben will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 12:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM with an overnight visitation at Funeraria del Angel Highland. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at San Martin de Porres, followed by the burial at Highland Memorial Park.
