Donnie Ray Wallace was born to the late Mr.& Mrs. Haman & Hattie Wallace in Nashville Tennessee, July 23rd 1935.
He graduated from Tuskegee University in Communications and Journalism, and received the “Certificate of Appreciation against “ Hatred and Intolerance in America, his name was added to the “Wall of Intolerance” in Montgomery Alabama. Donnie continued his education in broadcasting serving the Terre Haute Indiana community as “Big Chief” in radio broadcasting at WBOW for several years.
Donnie Wallace was immersed in the Christian Community, received many awards for his service and served at La Puente Church of Christ for 40 plus years always loving and placing others above him serving in the church, ministering Gods word, leading and coordinating the Food Pantry and many other auxiliaries for many years is a perfect example of that love.
Donnie was blessed with a beautiful wife and best friend, Edna Louise Wallace, which preceded him in 1993. They have 4 sons, Carlos Wallace, Damone Wallace, Anthony Wallace, Vincent Wallace and 2 daughters , Deborah Bennett, Felecia Isabell and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
