Shawn, you were the cutest kid with the sweetest smile. I remember watching you play baseball at Columbia Jr High. You grew to be a man of God and I pray that this brings your children, family and friends a sense of peace knowing you are with the Lord. RIP Shawn.

Although we hadn't seen each other in over 30 years the news of your passing hit hard. I will remember you always as that young, happy and energetic kid I first met in kindergarten and played with on the school grounds of Columbia Jr. High. I'll also remember joking with our pals at the podium of the Lions Den. My friend, too much time has passed since those days but not enough to have to say a final good bye. You left us too soon Shawn. My heart goes out to your family, especially your children. May God carry you in peace, restore your joy and send the light to your energetic spirit back to your family. Farewell my friend, until we meet again. And Shawn one more thing "POW"

The Beckham family was a great memory from my childhood.  My deepest sympathies go out to the family. Stay strong in knowing he is in a great place watching over each and every one of you. All our prayers.

I am so thankful to God, we were reacquainted... Lord, Your word says, "it is better to be at a funeral/mourning than a feast." I pray that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Lord, may Shawn's family receive Your love, comfort, strength and courage to move forward in You. May they draw closer to You and to each other and may Your angels watch over Shawn's children. And thank You, for his life and his faith in You. He was such a sweet and kind friend, now in Your Holy Presence. Amen.

Shawn Lee, you touched my life with such kindness and always kept me on my toes regarding the word of God. You loved the Lord on a deep and personal level. I saw Jesus in your eyes. Your words were of wisdom and you always loved and helped others selflessly and never once complained. I am so sad to hear you are not here anymore, but I know you are pain free~and with our Father in Heaven. Prayers of comfort to your children, family and friends. RIP, young man, I just heard. Obviously shocked, saddened, and completely at a loss. My deepest sympathies, Shawn, to those you loved and were loved by, now left behind struggling to make sense of it all. My heart goes out to the Beckham family, so sorry for your loss.

Even though my Vons employment was shortlived, I very much remember the daily hellos and free gym advice that made my miserable grocery "go-backs" that much more tolerable. Baldwin Park Pavilions, I was only there a few months. But having a friendly, high school-familiar face helping me navigate that enormous store made all the difference. 

Positive I spent more time in that chilly dairy aisle picking your brain about bodybuilding than I ever did restocking those sad, neglected (often thawed/melting) items that just weren't as interesting as our conversations. Don't think I ever properly thanked you for helping me (my first real job), or for making the time pass by so much more quickly. Think I quit before I got the chance. 

Sad as hell I have to thank you now, like this. But thanks just the same, Shawn, you went outta your way when it wasn't required. I sure wished we'd kept in touch.

You are already missed, my friend.
