Abbey Laine Cole passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. A Mass will be celebrated 9 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Augustin Catholic Church, 545 - 42nd St, Des Moines, Iowa. Family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Abbey was born October 7, 1981 in Des Moines, Iowa to Jeff and Beth Cole (Rees). Her stepparents are Betsy LeBlond and Mark Rees. In addition to her parents, Abbey is survived by her sister, Annie (Jason) Breding, two nephews, Gunnar and Beau Breding, stepbrother Logan Rees, several aunts and uncles, her paternal grandmother, Bonnie Cole and her close friend, John Booth.
Abbey was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lois Peters and paternal grandfather, Ray Cole.
Abbey graduated from Grand View University in 2004 with a degree in Psychology. She enjoyed playing softball, journaling, animals, and her many friends.
