Anne K. Griffith, 89, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at ManorCare Health Services in West Des Moines. Private memorial graveside services will be held at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.
Anne was born October 25, 1923 in Maxwell, IA to Merle H. and Helen Jesse (Bowen) McCurdy, and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942. She worked at Iowa Building and Maintenance as a bookkeeper and payroll specialist. Anne also worked as a secretary for Father Bob Hedges at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, needlepointing, fishing and spending time at the lake.
Anne is survived by her son, John Charles (Valerie) Griffith of Lynden, WA; daughter, Jane Anne Griffith (Mike) Lyons of Medford, NJ; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Jack” Griffith, Jr. and son, Timothy Jack Griffith.
