I am sorry to hear of your loss.  I met Chad when I was working as a PT at Younker Rehab many years ago.  He was such a great guy and a bright spot in my day. Continued prayers for peace and comfort.

Greetings and I am sorry for your loss, and wanted to express my condolences . I hired Chad to work at the Walnut Creek YMCA child watch many years ago. I recall  that the kids loved him and I was thrilled that he was reliable, dependable, always wearing a smile to work. The child watch at the time was filled with a group of moms and grandmothers on staff  and Chad had an uphill battle breaking in, but once you got to know him - he was a great fit. Thank you for sharing him with the YMCA. 

I too, had some amazing times growing up paling around our neighborhoods with Chad and our many friends. I remember when anyone of us would purchase something like shoes or clothing or something, we would all copy.  The best complement to each other. 
We had the best of times together, like participating in many sports, band practice, doing lots of practical jokes to each other or just hanging out causing mischief. :) I guess we were just being boys!
I loved his laugh and his constant contagious smile. He was a best buddy to me growing up and to many others.  I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire Greening family. Peace be with you all.  I am so saddened to hear this. Chad was a very kind soul to so many.

I was so very sorry to hear about this.  As Chad Strauss said, we were all such great friends during our Rex Mathes days.  Through the years I would see Chad (mostly at Hy-Vee) and he always had the same smile and laugh.  A year or two ago I drove him home after seeing him at  Hy Vee and complimented him on how nice his lawn looked.  "Not bad for a blind guy, huh?" was his comment.  We laughed in much the same way we would have back in the day.  I will miss him.  Prayers of peace and healing to the whole Greening family.

Chad was a good customer of ours at Hy-Vee and I always looked forward to seeing him.  Loved the laughter we shared and his stories....  So sorry to you all and my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

Chad moved in across the street from me just before the beginning of 1st grade. We became great friends instantly and walked together to school every morning through elementary. We discovered we both had a passion for baseball, particulary baseball cards. We’d bike down to the local Dahls and buy packs by the handful, then scatter them across his basement floor, organizing them by team, year, and position. Chad was an integral part of our neighborhood “gang”, always wanting to compete in our weekly kickball, whiffleball and flashlight tag games. Those are among my favorite childhood memories and Chad was a huge part of them. He will be greatly missed.

To the Greening Family - Your Son made a particularly tough Catechism class year at Sacred Heart enjoyable for me with his eye rolling, quick wit and ad libs.  I believe the teacher had met his match and was tongue tied a few times as I'm thinking about it now - lol.  It was a pleasure to know Chad as a fellow Valley High School classmate.  As another contributor said it best, will ALWAYS remember his laugh....will remember him fondly.  

I was so sad to hear of Chad’s passing, he was such a wonderful person with a big heart. I had pleasure of meeting Chad in junior high and he was actually my first boyfriend. I will never forget the day he walked over to my house just to give me a card and a teddy bear. I always loved running into him every now and again just to see his smile and hear him laugh. RIP Chad you will be missed. 

I, along with Ryan Wolfe, had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with Chad in high school.  We made some really funny and great memories together.  From taking Chad’s boat out to Saylorville to wrecking each other tubing. We also cruised in his yellow Firebird, nicknamed “The Firechicken” while jamming Skid Row on the 6x9’s and spent a lot of time at the mall causing mischief.  I’m so sad to hear about Chad’s passing, my thoughts and heart go out to Chad’s family and friends.  

I worked with Chad for many years at the Walnut Creek YMCA.  He was a great guy and so good to all of us in the Y-Nursery.  We had several great Christmas parties at his home.  My husband and I gave him many rides when we would see him walking.  He will be greatly missed by us.

The St. Louis Cardinals now have an angel in heaven....maybe with his help they can have a winning season in ‘21.
Chad lived life to the fullest and to the best of his ability. We should all learn from him.

I was so sad to hear about Chad.  The two of us, along with Brad Remsburg and Ryan Wolfe, were close friends during our elementary school years.  I have fond memories of Chad during school at Rex Mathes, having sleep overs at each other's houses, playing tackle football in the snow in our front yards, roller skating at Skate West on Friday nights, and playing flashlight tag around the water tower on 17th Street during summer nights.  He always had a smile on his face.  His friendly and outgoing personality made him a terrific person to be around.  His friendship meant a lot to me growing up and I will dearly miss him.

Before Covid I walked at Valley West Mall and on days when Chad was there I would walk some laps with Chad.  We had some great conversations while walking and sometimes he would sit down at the table with my friends and me to chat.  He was never at a loss for words and always so friendly.   I will miss seeing him at the mall.
I will miss his sense of humor.  To his family, I am so sorry this has happened.  God be with you all.
