Jack Raymond Ulrich, 76, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at The Rehabilitation Center of Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at McLaren’s Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
Jack was born November 11, 1936 in Iowa City, Iowa to Harry and Frances (McNeley) Ulrich. While serving his country in the U.S. Marines, he met the love of his life, Maria, on the island of Guam. Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting, Prairie Meadows and playing pokeno with his senior friends.
Jack leaves his wife of 57 years, Maria; six children, Shirlene (Steve), Vicki (Paul), Keith (Diana), Tina (Jimmy), Becky and Harry; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McLaren’s Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to UnityPointe Hospice.
