Jean was born on August 24, 1927 in Des Moines the daughter of Isaac and Genevieve (Orelup) Gould. She graduated from Kellogg High School and the Methodist School of Nursing. She married Robert P. Iltis on May 27, 1950 and retired from nursing in 1993.
She is survived by four children: Cheryl (Ron) Howell of Norwalk, Iowa, Kathryn Iltis (Tom O’Neal) of Burnsville, Minnesota, Mary (Roger) White of Norwalk, Iowa and Mark (Heidi) Iltis of LeClaire, Iowa; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one brother, William Gould of Ankeny.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Robert on July 10, 1979.
