Kathleen Munday, 95, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Des Moines followed by a Funeral Mass at 12 p.m. Entombment will take place at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines.
Kathleen was born November 22, 1918 in Walnut, KS to Roscoe and Catherine (Dowling) Harlan. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Kathleen enjoyed reading, gardening, playing bridge and spending time with her family.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Jim) Tursi of Cedar Rapids; son, Mike (Fran) Munday of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, Joe Tursi, John Tursi, Jim Tursi, Maria Creech, Linda Roach and Michael Munday; thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike H. Munday in 1996.
