Lisa was born on August 17, 1957, to Walker and Doris Bertholf. She attended schooling in West Des Moines and graduated from Valley High School in 1975. She briefly attended college in Colorado and later moved to Florida. She returned to West Des Moines in 1990 and began working for Principal Financial. Lisa worked in various positions while at Principal. While working, she moved to Polk City, Iowa. Lisa retired in 2018 from Principal Financial.
During her retirement, Lisa loved to cook. She enjoyed cooking for her family and sending plenty of food home with everyone. Lisa was an animal lover, and she shared her life with numerous dogs throughout the years. She loved getting together with her friends and family.
Lisa is survived by her sister, Chris (John) Walker; her niece, Natalie (Jess) Erdman; and her nephew, Garrett Bertholf. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Craig Bertholf.
