Marc D. Salazar, 39, passed away of natural causes on January 8, 2017. Marc was born October 12, 1977 in Des Moines, IA and was a lifelong area resident. Marc worked many years for Big Tomato Pizza and was currently working for HD on the Go as the Director of Logistics.
Marc had a very kind heart and would help anyone who needed his help. He enjoyed get together’s with family and friends. He especially enjoyed the tacos and enchiladas.
Marc is survived by his parents, Greg and Sharon of Windsor Heights; two brothers, Greg (Laura) of Altoona and Michael of Windsor Heights; three nephews, Tre, Nick and Ethan; one niece, Natalie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Trina Salazar, Fred and Lucille McMullen and Jose Salazar; uncles, Jim McMullen and Lee McMullen; and aunt, Jeanine McMullen.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel and Mortuary, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Des Moines. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Marc’s family for future designation to St. Theresa’s Catholic School.
