Nancy L. Geist, 77, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at her home in Norwalk, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at New Life Lutheran Church in Norwalk, Iowa followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Entombment will take place at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Nancy was born September 22, 1937 in South Haven, Michigan to Russell and Evelyn (Myers) Crouse. She was a member of New Life Lutheran Church in Norwalk, was active with hospice care and pet sitting, and volunteered at Luther Park in Des Moines. She enjoyed cooking and gardening but the most important priority in Nancy’s life was caring for her family.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Richard Geist of Norwalk; four children, Teresa (Michael) Cusmano of Gainesville, Virginia, Brenda Yohman of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Pamela (Bennett) Potter of Wilmington, North Carolina and Jeffrey (Tracy) Geist of Norwalk; seven grandchildren, Richard (Lawana) Watters, Natalia (John) McNerney, Nicollette Cusmano, Olivia Cusmano, Chelsea Cusmano, Gracie Geist and Savannah Geist; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Emily Watters; brother, George (Ruth) Crouse of Paw Paw, Michigan and three sisters, Carol Wiley of South Haven, Michigan, Melinda (Louis) Geresy of Michigan and Joann Crouse of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Timothy Richter.
