Patricia JoAnne Graff, 81, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024 at Kennybrook Village in Grimes. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2024 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at McLaren’s followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Pat was born November 2, 1942 in Des Moines to Floyd and Ruth (Freeman) Castle. She graduated from North High School in Des Moines. Pat worked at Central National Bank where she met the love of her life, Gerry Graff and the two were married on July 14, 1962 and were married for 33 years until Gerry’s passing. They made their home in Beaverdale where Pat was a wonderful stay-at-home mom of two girls, Tammy and Candee. She also volunteer at many organizations in the Des Moines area. Pat enjoyed cats, flowers, sewing, feeding birds, crafting, baking, and especially attending all of her grandchildren’s activities.
Pat is survived by her two daughters, Tammy (Steve) Joslin and Candee (Nick) Heckart; grandchildren, Ally (Jamey) Johnson and Matt (Amanda) Joslin; six great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Castle; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerry and grandson, Codie Heckart.
