Patricia L. Beattie, 79, passed away October 4, 2020 in Omaha. Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Patty was born February 24, 1941 in Des Moines to Loren and Eva (Grgurich) Swanson. She graduated from Madrid High School in 1959. Patty married Kirk Beattie on September 14, 1968. They raised their three girls in West Des Moines before moving to Omaha in 1983.
Patty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kirk; three daughters, Amy (Kevin) Gyldenvand, Beth Beattie, and Megan (Brian) McCoy; grandchildren, Noah, Greta, and Jonah Gyldenvand, Emma Stutzman, and Caleb and Ava McCoy; brother, Michael Swanson; and many other family members. She is preceded in death by parents and brother, Timothy Swanson.
