Patricia Farrell, a lifelong resident of West Des Moines, peacefully surrendered herself into the gracious arms of her heavenly Father on September 21, 2010 – exactly one week before her 66th birthday. She was winning her battle with lung cancer until an infection rapidly set in. She was with her husband of 46 years and 9 months, Michael L. Farrell, as well as her two daughters, Michelle D. Farrell and Tracy L. ( Ian Scott) Farrell-MacDougall; three grandchildren, Dakota S., Kaleigha J. and Ian L. MacDougall; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Dixie Warywoda of West Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at West Des Moines Open Bible Church with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
Patricia was a graduate of the Class of 1963 at Valley High School. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed fishing, reading, and was an exceptional cook. She loved spending time with family and friends on the pontoon boat at Sun Valley Lake and being with her church family.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at West Des Moines Open Bible Church. (1100 Ashworth Rd.) Memorials may be directed to the church.
