Phyllis Badgett Morris

Phyllis B Morris, a resident of Urbandale, Iowa, was born on April 27, 1929, and passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 96. She was surrounded by her sons Larry and Mike, daughters in law Diane and Jan and grandchildren Heather, Bryan Alexandria, and Samantha.

Phyllis loved her lord and savior Jesus Christ. Serving her God faithfully throughout her life’s journey. She was born in Oka, WV where life then took her to: Grassy Run, Fairmont, Welch, and Parkersburg, West Virginia; Fort-Benning/Columbus, Georgia; Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; West Des Moines and Urbandale, Iowa. Throughout her life she attended church, worked a variety of jobs that revolved around her bookkeeping experience, and raised a family. She loved to travel, drive fast, high heels, painted nails and most of all spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, parents Andy and Gracie Badgett, siblings Avin, Maude, Buddy, and Gladys, her Morris family: parents Wayne and Mable and siblings Alice Lee, Jim, Buddy, Mary Louise, Martha Jane and Wendel. She is survived by her sister Karen Ann Hicks, 2 sons and their spouses, 4 grandchildren and their spouses, and 9 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on January 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Lutheran Church of Hope, located at 925 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa, 50266.

The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A committal service will take place on January 10, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel & Mortuary, located at 801 19th Street, West Des Moines, Iowa, 50265.
