Rex L. Hild, 86, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 in Hot Springs, AR. A Memorial Gathering will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with inurnment at Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines.
Rex was born January 16, 1929 in Des Moines, IA to Lloyd and Rose (Bowers) Hild. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Rex owned and operated Hild Motor Express in Des Moines and worked for the Flower Dome in AR. He was a Mason, attended Balboa Baptist Church in AR, enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
Cherishing his memory are his wife of 38 years, Patricia Wells Hild; three children, Rex (Jody) Hild II, Randy (Deborah) Hild and Nancy Peterson; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Wanda Hild; grandson, Christopher Hild; sister, Betty Hicks and son-in-law, Larry Peterson, Jr.
