Ruth E. Faust

Ruth E. Faust, 92, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. David’s Hospital in Georgetown, TX. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Ruth was born in Blue Grass, ND on February 18, 1926 to Gottfield and Emma (Moos) Kruckenberg. She attended Westmar College in LeMars, IA before becoming a teacher in Marcus, IA and later a mother and farm wife. She met the love of her life, Marv, and they were united in marriage in June of 1949. Together they raised 6 children. While living in Texas she attended the Main Street Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed quilting, knitting, and reading but always looked forward to her family outings.

Ruth is survived by three sons, David (Trisha) of Round Rock, TX, Michael (Lana) of Clear Lake, IA, and James of West Des Moines; three daughters, Dorothy Faust of Round Rock, TX, Mary (Todd) Danielson of St. Paul, MN, and Penny (Tim) Rosebeck of Waukee, IA; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Arlene Kepplin of Napa, CA, and brother, Keith Kruckenberg of Wilton, ND. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marv; parents; sister, Betty Lou Jensen; brothers, Leonard, Mel, and Monte Kruckenberg; and grandson, Jason Faust.
